Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, after resigning on July 22nd, is preparing to reside at a farmhouse in Chhatarpur. Recent updates include his pension application. He will move to the 15 Gadaipur Farm House in Chhatarpur next week. Dhankhar has formally requested a government bungalow from the Ministry of Urban Development. Until a government bungalow is assigned, the Chhatarpur farmhouse will serve as his temporary residence. The Directorate of Estates, under the Ministry of Urban Development, has readied a Type 8 bungalow at 34 APJ Abdul Kalam Marg. The bungalow’s renovation and furnishing are estimated to take around three months, according to the CPWD. As per the regulations, former Vice Presidents are eligible for a Type-8 bungalow in Delhi. Alternatively, they may opt for two acres of land at their ancestral location. Dhankhar’s resignation was attributed to health reasons. The election for the new Vice President is slated for September 9th.
