In a fascinating display of entrepreneurial spirit, Virendra and Pushpendra Kushwaha, scrap dealers based in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, have acquired a former Border Security Force (BSF) cargo plane. For around Rs 40 lakh, the brothers purchased the 55-seater aircraft with a grand vision: to convert it into an exclusive 5-star hotel. This groundbreaking project aims to offer guests a unique stay, replicating the experience of being on an airplane, but with the comfort and luxury of a ground-based establishment.
The Kushwaha brothers’ ambitious plan includes developing a 4-5 room hotel within the aircraft, complemented by a five-star restaurant. Pushpendra Kushwaha revealed that the concept was sparked by a similar initiative in Haryana where a restaurant was built inside a plane. They intend to go a step further, creating a memorable experience in Ujjain’s Shankarpur. A significant aspect of their hotel will be its thematic dedication to the Indian Armed Forces, drawing inspiration from historical operations like Operation Sindoor. This patriotic angle is designed to promote respect and admiration for the military.
The story has quickly captured the public’s imagination online, with social media feeds flooded with reactions. Many have applauded the innovative and patriotic nature of the venture. Comments ranged from witty remarks about sleeping without turbulence to expressions of excitement about this novel tourist attraction. The viral trend indicates strong public interest and anticipates that the converted BSF plane hotel will be a major draw for visitors to Ujjain once operational.
