Rahul Gandhi, a Congress MP, held a press conference to address the issue of voter fraud, leveling accusations at the government and the Election Commission. Gandhi presented evidence to support his claims, highlighting how votes were being deleted, allegedly targeting supporters of the Congress party. He asserted that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar was protecting individuals involved in undermining Indian democracy. He presented specific examples of the alleged vote deletion from the Aland constituency in Karnataka, where over 6,000 votes were targeted. Gandhi detailed a case where the deletion of a vote was discovered by a booth-level officer, who traced it to a neighbor. He also described a centralized system of vote deletion, with automated filing processes and the use of out-of-state mobile numbers. He cited instances where voters were unaware that their votes had been deleted. He highlighted the speed with which votes were being removed, with examples of 12 votes deleted in 14 minutes and two forms filed in 36 seconds. Gandhi declared that he is receiving support from within the Election Commission.
