Responding to criticism from the Congress party, BJP National Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari defended India’s abstention from the UNGA vote on a Gaza ceasefire. Bhandari accused the Congress of spreading “half-truths” and urged them to refer to India’s official explanation. The explanation highlights India’s stance against civilian casualties, its support for humanitarian aid, and its backing of a two-state solution. Bhandari dismissed the Congress’s criticisms as stemming from a “fake news factory,” particularly in response to comments by Congress leader Pawan Khera. Khera had described India’s action as a “shameful betrayal.”
