A wave of criminal activity continues to plague Gurugram, Haryana, with several prominent figures becoming targets of gang-related violence. YouTuber Elvish Yadav is now the latest individual to be targeted. On Sunday morning, Elvish’s home was the scene of a shooting, where 10-12 rounds were fired, causing widespread concern among local residents. This incident closely follows a prior attack where singer Rahul Fazilpuria’s car was targeted.
The incident at Elvish Yadav’s home occurred nearly a month after an attack on July 14th targeting the car of Bollywood singer Rahul Fazilpuria. The financiers connected to Fazilpuria were murdered, and the responsibility was claimed by Sunil Sardhania, a gangster associated with the Himanshu Bhau gang.
The Gurugram Police are actively investigating the gang responsible for the attack on Elvish, seeking to understand the motive behind the targeting. The police are collecting evidence from the crime scene and reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area.
Reports indicate that Fazilpuria and Elvish share a close bond. Fazilpuria had previously received threats from the Lawrence gang, leading to the assignment of two police officers for his protection. Fazilpuria gained recognition for his song ‘Ladki Beautiful, Kar Gayi Chull’ in the Bollywood movie ‘Kapoor & Sons’. Furthermore, his name was mentioned in relation to an illegal snake venom trade case involving Elvish Yadav, which led to questioning by the Central Investigation Agency (ED).
The police are examining every potential angle to connect this recent firing incident with the attack on Fazilpuria. It’s important to note that Elvish had not received any prior threats before the attack.
Elvish Yadav, a YouTuber, resides in Sector 56, Gurugram, with his family. At approximately 5:30 AM this morning, three masked assailants initiated a series of gunshots at his home. Elvish’s parents and caretaker were present during the shooting, while Elvish is currently abroad. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.
The gunfire was targeted at the ground and first floors of Elvish Yadav’s residence. Numerous teams from the Gurugram Police are on-site, and early investigations indicate that three individuals, riding a motorcycle, were responsible for the attack.
