Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the launch of the ‘Deen Dayal Upadhyay Lado Lakshmi Yojana’, a new initiative aimed at financially supporting women in the state. Eligible women will receive a monthly assistance of ₹2,100 under the scheme. The program is scheduled to be implemented starting September 25th. The ‘Lado Lakshmi Yojana’ was one of the key promises made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the elections in Haryana. The decision was announced by CM Saini following a meeting of the Haryana cabinet. The cabinet decided to launch the ‘Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana’, which will commence on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, on September 25. The scheme is structured to include both married and unmarried women. CM Saini clarified that all eligible female beneficiaries will receive a monthly financial aid of ₹2,100. Women aged 23 years and above will be eligible to benefit from the scheme starting from September 25th, regardless of their marital status. In the first phase of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, the focus will be on families with an annual income of less than ₹1 lakh. The scheme is designed to be expanded in a phased manner to include more income brackets. There is no limit to the number of eligible women per family; each eligible woman within a family will receive benefits. Unmarried women, or the husbands of married women, must have been residents of Haryana for 15 years to be eligible for the Lado Yojana. Women who are already receiving a higher pension through 9 other government schemes will not qualify for the Lado Lakshmi Yojana. Women with Stage 3 and 4 cancer, 54 listed rare diseases, hemophilia, thalassemia, and sickle cell anemia who are already receiving a pension will also receive additional benefits. Unmarried women reaching the age of 45 will automatically become eligible for the Widow and Destitute Women Financial Assistance Scheme. Upon reaching 60 years of age, beneficiaries will be automatically eligible for the Old Age Samman Bhatta Pension Scheme. The scheme is projected to benefit approximately 19-20 lakh women in its initial phase. The official notification for the scheme will be released within the next 6 to 7 days, and a mobile app will be launched soon for applications. The app will allow eligible women to apply from home. All potential beneficiaries will be notified via SMS to apply through the app. The lists of eligible women will be displayed in all panchayats and wards.
