Authorities in Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh, arrested Vishal Soni, son of BJP leader Mahesh Soni, following his elaborate scheme to avoid a ₹1.40 crore loan. Soni fabricated his death, triggering a search operation in the Kalisindh River that lasted ten days. While authorities searched the 20-km stretch, Soni remained hidden in Maharashtra. The deception also included a false kidnapping report filed at the Fardapur police station. After being apprehended, Soni confessed to the elaborate hoax. The investigation began after his car was found in the Kalisindh River on September 5th, initiating the intensive search efforts.
