Despite the stricter regulations, Indian Railways provides an alternative for ticket booking. Individuals whose Aadhaar isn’t linked to their IRCTC account still have options. The Passenger Reservation System (PRS) is exempt from this new rule. Passengers can visit a nearby railway station or PRS counter and book tickets without Aadhaar verification. This method involves filling out a reservation slip at the counter. Currently, only 20% of people utilize the PRS for reservations, offering an alternative for those not adhering to the new Aadhaar-linking requirement.
