The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has declared a red alert for numerous districts due to the expectation of heavy rainfall. This warning, issued on Wednesday, affects regions in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, North Punjab, North Haryana, East Rajasthan, South-West Uttar Pradesh, North-West and East Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha. The IMD predicts moderate to heavy rainfall in these areas within the next three hours, with potential hazards including flash floods, landslides, and waterlogging. Specific areas under the red alert include various districts across Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana.
