The monsoon season is underway, bringing both benefits and difficulties. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) indicates that heavy rainfall will persist, particularly in central and adjacent northwest India over the next few days. Due to climate change, these events can disrupt daily life. The IMD warns about the risk of displacement and infrastructure issues. Residents are encouraged to take precautions. Several states are under alert due to anticipated heavy rainfall. These include East Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, West Uttar Pradesh, South Haryana, East Uttar Pradesh, and West Rajasthan. Rainfall in Delhi has lowered temperatures. The IMD forecasts further rain with thunderstorms and lightning until July 17. Light showers are expected in southern states, while certain areas in East Assam, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, and Rayalaseema will experience hot and humid conditions.
