A significant joint military exercise, codenamed ‘Trishul’, will be led by the Indian Navy in collaboration with the Army and Air Force, commencing in early November 2025. This Tri-Services Exercise (TSE-2025) is geared towards bolstering the synergistic capabilities and operational readiness of India’s defense forces. The Western Naval Command is at the helm, overseeing large-scale maneuvers across the desert and creek areas of Rajasthan and Gujarat. The exercise extends to the maritime front with amphibious operations planned in the North Arabian Sea, ensuring a comprehensive demonstration of multi-domain prowess. Major participants include the Army Southern Command, the Navy’s Western Naval Command, and the Air Force’s South Western Air Command, alongside extensive support from the Indian Coast Guard, BSF, and other central bodies, underlining the importance of integrated responses. ‘Trishul’s strategic objectives include refining joint operational protocols, enhancing the interoperability of military assets and communication systems, fortifying network-centric warfare capabilities, and advancing combined arms operations. The exercise scenario will involve substantial deployments of naval vessels and Air Force aircraft, amphibious landings featuring INS Jalashwa, and complex joint exercises covering ISR, EW, and cyber warfare. Carrier operations involving the Navy and shore-based Air Force assets will also be a key feature. The event will also serve as a platform to showcase indigenously developed defense technologies, aligning with the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ vision, and to hone strategies against evolving global threats. ‘Trishul’ reinforces India’s commitment to a robust and integrated national defense.
