A clear roadmap for Jammu and Kashmir’s future has been presented by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, centered on four guiding principles: Peace, Progress, Prosperity, and People First. These pillars are interconnected and vital for the region’s comprehensive upliftment. Sinha emphasized that the foundation of any progress in Jammu and Kashmir is lasting peace. The administration’s determined efforts to combat terrorism, including the disruption of terror networks and the maintenance of law and order, have led to a marked improvement in security. This improved climate is crucial for both citizens’ well-being and economic vitality. The administration is actively pursuing ‘Progress’ through significant infrastructure development, enhanced connectivity projects like highways and tunnels, and more efficient public service delivery. This focus aims to accelerate the region’s development trajectory. ‘Prosperity’ is being fostered through targeted initiatives designed to generate employment, attract investment, and ensure that economic benefits are widely shared. The goal is to uplift all sections of society, reduce poverty, and build a self-reliant economy. The ‘People First’ ethos guides the administration’s governance approach, prioritizing transparent, accountable, and responsive public service. This includes empowering local governance, addressing public grievances effectively, and promoting social justice and equality for all residents. Mechanisms like e-governance and citizen feedback platforms are central to this commitment. These four pillars are seen as the driving force for Jammu and Kashmir’s transformation, aiming to restore its natural beauty and foster a future of innovation and inclusive growth.
