
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Japan to participate in the 15th India-Japan Annual Summit, embarking on a two-day visit. The arrival at Haneda International Airport at 5:40 AM IST was marked by a ceremonial welcome. The schedule is packed with events, including a business program, meetings with leading Japanese figures, and the presentation of a Daruma doll. The core of the visit will be the India-Japan Annual Summit, scheduled for the afternoon.
This trip includes engagements in both Japan and China, spanning four days. A key goal is to enhance trade and investment ties with Japan and foster normal relations with China. Preceding the trip, PM Modi highlighted the importance of the visit in advancing the nation’s interests and priorities. Discussions with Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba are planned, along with anticipated agreements in defense, technology, and other areas of cooperation.
