
Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi of Japan has voiced her deep regret and sorrow over the fatalities caused by the recent explosion at Delhi’s Red Fort metro station. She conveyed sincere condolences from Japan to the families of those who perished in the blast. “On behalf of the Government and people of Japan, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the victims and their bereaved families,” Takaichi wrote. Furthermore, she expressed hopes for the rapid healing of those wounded by the blast, stating, “I offer my sincere prayers for the swift recovery of the injured.” This tragic event, which has claimed 12 lives to date, has prompted immediate security measures in India. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been actively engaged in high-level security review meetings. The probe into the explosion has officially been transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), signaling the government’s serious consideration of the incident as a potential act of terrorism.
