A 4.4 magnitude earthquake shook the Jhajjar district in Haryana on Thursday morning. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported the event. The tremors were felt across Delhi and the National Capital Region, including Noida, Gurugram, and Faridabad. The quake struck Jhajjar at 9:04 am with a depth of 10 kilometers, the NCS confirmed. The NCS shared the details via a post on X. A similar earthquake of magnitude 4.0 occurred on February 17 in Delhi-NCR, causing residents to seek safety outside their homes. Delhi is classified as Seismic Zone IV, a zone with a high risk of damage from earthquakes, as designated by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority.
