
Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials seized ₹15 lakhs in cash and numerous documents during raids targeting associates of former MLA Anba Prasad. These raids also uncovered documentation related to alleged illegal sand business activities involving Anba’s brother, Ankit Raj, and father, Yogendra Sav. Following the raids, CA Badal Goyal is being questioned by the ED after a significant amount of cash and critical documents were recovered from his premises. The ED also targeted Mantu Soni’s residence in Hazaribagh, who is known to be close to Anba’s family. According to sources, the ED conducted raids at eight different locations connected to six individuals, including the former MLA, her personal assistant, a chartered accountant, petrol pump owners, and sand traders. These recent actions mark the second set of raids conducted on the former MLA and her associates. The ED’s actions, which took place on Friday morning, targeted locations in Ranchi and Hazaribagh linked to Anba Prasad, her CA Badal Goyal, PA Sanjeet Kumar, petrol pump owner Prem Singh, sand trader Manoj Dangi, and Pancham Kumar. The initial raids were conducted on March 18, 2024, leading to the current operation. The ED’s Economic Offenses Information Report (ECIR) incorporates more than a dozen FIRs filed against Anba Prasad and her family, including allegations of extortion, land grabbing, disruption of NTPC operations, and the formation of the proscribed Tiger Group.
