
A tribal minor girl was brutally gang-raped by ten men during a wedding in Godda district, Jharkhand. The incident occurred in the Sunderpahari police station area. The victim had left the wedding venue to relieve herself when the attackers assaulted her.
The men grabbed the minor, silenced her, and took her to a secluded place in the village where the heinous act was committed. The gang-rape caused widespread anger in the village, leading to a village panchayat meeting.
Eight suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime. The Sunderpahari police swiftly responded to the family’s complaint and apprehended eight individuals. All the accused are from the Sunderpahari police station area. They have been charged under the POCSO Act and other relevant sections, and further investigation is underway. Police are also working to apprehend the remaining two suspects. This incident is reminiscent of an earlier gang-rape case involving a minor in Godda district.
Separately, in Bokaro district, four men were arrested for gang-raping a woman. They had stopped a couple returning from the market, forced them to drink alcohol, and tied up the husband before committing the crime. The Sector-12 police acted quickly and arrested all four perpetrators.
