Ranchi is going all out to ensure a secure Jharkhand Foundation Day celebration on November 15th at the Morahabadi ground. Over 1,000 police personnel are slated for deployment to manage the anticipated crowds and maintain order. The Inspector General of Operations for Jharkhand Police, Dr. Michael Raj, announced the deployment of additional forces for the significant occasion. Security measures will be in effect from 6 AM, anticipating an early start to visitor movement, even though the main event is later in the afternoon. The city will see a substantial presence of 1,000 additional security personnel. This deployment includes specialized leadership with three IPS officers, six DSPs, 40 inspectors, and 80 sub-inspectors. The Morahabadi venue will be secured through a robust three-layer security approach. Elite units such as the Bomb Disposal Squad, JAP, ATS, and Jharkhand Jaguar will be positioned strategically. City-wide surveillance via CCTV cameras will be active, with a central control room relaying real-time updates to senior officials. Plainclothes police officers will also be part of the security grid. Thorough vehicle inspections will be mandatory for all attendees reaching the event site. Entrances will be equipped with metal detectors and scanners, ensuring that all individuals are thoroughly checked before entering the ceremony area. The event is expected to host the Governor, Chief Minister, state ministers, Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, and other high-ranking state officials.
