Ahead of the much-anticipated India vs. South Africa ODI cricket match in Ranchi on November 30th, law enforcement agencies have meticulously planned and executed an extensive security operation. The JSCA Stadium and its surrounding areas will be under the watchful eyes of 5,000 security personnel, ensuring maximum safety. This substantial deployment includes elite units like the ATS, IRB, and RAP, alongside district police and a contingent of female officers, highlighting a multi-faceted approach to security. Key leadership will be provided by six IPS officers, 15 DSPs, and over 30 SHOs, tasked with orchestrating the intricate security grid. Emergency response capabilities are also bolstered with the presence of fire brigades and water cannon units. Special security arrangements have been made at the Radisson Blu hotel, where the teams are staying, with continuous oversight from senior officials at both the hotel and the stadium. The authorities are confident that this robust security deployment, which includes plainclothes personnel and vigilant patrolling, will facilitate a smooth and incident-free match day.
