
On Tuesday, Akhilesh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party President and a former Chief Minister, traveled to Nemra, the ancestral home of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, to offer his condolences. He paid his respects to the late Shibu Soren, the respected Dishom Guru, by placing flowers before his image. Yadav spent time with Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with MLAs Kalpana Soren and Basant Soren, and other family members, expressing his deepest sympathies and offering words of comfort. He shared an emotional moment with Rupi Soren, the mother of the Chief Minister, assuring her of the support of the people of Jharkhand during this challenging period. He emphasized that her strength would provide the necessary fortitude to her son, the Chief Minister. Yadav also acknowledged the lifelong dedication of Shibu Soren to the betterment of the marginalized communities, highlighting his commitment to the tribal, Dalit, exploited, and underprivileged sections of society. He stated that Shibu Soren’s life and work would continue to serve as an inspiration. Yadav remembered Shibu Soren as a transformative leader, whose contributions will be remembered for generations to come.
In the meantime, the traditional eighth-day Shradh ceremony for the late Shibu Soren was performed by Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his family, in accordance with customary practices, to pray for the peace of the departed soul.
