
Following the brutal burning of a tribal family of five in Purnia, Bihar, the Jharkhand Congress has initiated an investigation. A team, including key party members like Bandhu Tirkey, has been deployed to the scene to gather information and prepare a report. The incident, which took place in the Tetgama Adivasi Tola, involved the victims being set ablaze after accusations of practicing witchcraft. Before the team’s departure, Bandhu Tirkey expressed his outrage on social media, denouncing the act as a violation of human rights and a threat to the tribal community. He demanded that the Bihar government take immediate action to punish those responsible and prevent similar occurrences. Reports indicate that the victims were subjected to violence, and their bodies were discovered in a pond. Three individuals have been apprehended in connection with the crime.
