
Prashant Shekhar, a prominent social worker from Sahibganj, is slated to receive the ‘South Asian Regional Countries Award 2025’ in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu. This honor recognizes his extensive efforts in promoting blood donation and his successful leadership of the Uma Amrita Foundation for the past six years. The award ceremony is being organized by the Swami Vivekananda International Spiritual Center, Book of World Records, and the India-Nepal Friendship Forum.
Shekhar shared his immense pleasure at being selected from Sahibganj, emphasizing his resolve to continue his service to society. He highlighted blood donation as a core objective of his philanthropic activities. The successful guidance of the Uma Amrita Foundation has been a key factor in his recognition. His accomplishment has been met with pride by foundation members and admiration from his fellow citizens, who find motivation in his selfless service.
His trip to Nepal will begin on December 24th, with travel arrangements via Gorakhpur. The event includes a Youth Parliament Cultural Program and the awards ceremony, bringing together individuals who have made remarkable contributions in their respective fields from across the region.
