The leadership of Bokaro Steel Plant has a new face as Priya Ranjan assumed the responsibilities of Director-in-Charge on December 24, 2025. This appointment comes after the Public Enterprises Selection Board’s endorsement of Ranjan for the role on August 22, 2025. Ranjan’s prior role at the plant was Executive Director (Works). He is recognized as a highly experienced technocrat and adept administrator, bringing more than three decades of profound experience from SAIL. His qualifications include a B.Tech in Metallurgy and a PG Diploma in Management, underpinning his dual expertise. Ranjan began his career on September 24, 1994, at ISCO Steel Plant, where he served in various capacities for over two decades. His career trajectory saw him move to SAIL’s corporate office in New Delhi in October 2017, contributing significantly to the Chairman’s Secretariat. On November 15, 2024, he was elevated to the position of Executive Director, overseeing Operations. Following the PESB’s recommendation, his transfer to Bokaro Steel Plant as Executive Director (Works) occurred on August 26, 2025. In his new capacity as Director-in-Charge, Priya Ranjan will spearhead the plant’s operational efficiency, developmental projects, and strategic initiatives, aiming to elevate Bokaro Steel Plant to new pinnacles of achievement.
