
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has appointed Kuldeep Dwivedi, a dynamic Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the Jharkhand cadre, as a Joint Director. A notification to this effect was released on Tuesday by the Department of Personnel and Training. Dwivedi, an IPS officer, will be joining the CBI as a Joint Director. The term of his appointment is set to end on January 17, 2026, contingent upon the completion of his five-year deputation period, or until further instructions are issued.
Simultaneously, C. Venkata Subba Reddy, an IPS officer from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre (2007 batch), also serving as a DIG in the CBI, has been appointed as a Joint Director. His tenure will be effective until October 29, 2029, aligning with the completion of his five-year deputation, or until further orders. As per the notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has sanctioned the appointment of both senior IPS officers as Joint Directors within the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
