Mallikarjun Kharge: Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge put the Central Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the dock over the Pahalgam attack and said on Tuesday that security was not arranged despite intelligence input, so they should take responsibility for the death of innocent people in this attack. Addressing the ‘Constitution Bachao Rally’ organized by the Congress on Tuesday in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, Mallikarjun Kharge said that in the all -party meeting, the central government has accepted the intelligence lapse on the incident of Pahalgam. When she is accepting her lapse, she should also take responsibility for the deaths in the attack.
At a rally held at the old assembly ground, he said, “I read in a newspaper that the central government had got the input of terrorist attack and danger in Kashmir three days ago. In view of this, he (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) had canceled his visit to Kashmir, but he did not arrange for the security of tourists going to the tourists.
The Congress president reiterated that the Congress will give full support to whatever steps the government will take against terrorism. The Congress will support them for action against Pakistan. The country is the largest. There is a religion and caste only after the country.
Describing the decision of the central government to conduct caste census, Kharge said that Rahul Gandhi put this issue in front of the whole country. At first, the leaders of the Central Government and BJP continued to protest this demand. He said that we are raising the caste issues and distributing the public into a piece, doing pieces of religion. But, the government has repeated the same thing that we said today. Caste column has arrived in the census.
He informed that the Congress has written a letter to the Prime Minister and made three big demands. The first demand is, to decide the model of caste census, a consensus should be made by meeting with all the parties and this work should be started as soon as possible. The second demand should also be given reservation in private institutions of the country under Article 15 (5) of the Constitution. The third demand is to remove the limit of 50 percent reservation in the country.

Kharge also questioned the action of ED in the National Herald case. He said that Nehru ji had taken out the National Herald, Qaumi Voice and Neozivan newspaper to raise the freedom struggle and public voice. When Sonia Gandhi took some steps to run those newspapers, he was filed with an ED. The ED made 200 cases across the country, but in only two percent of cases, the accused were punished.
The Congress President said that the BJP-RSS people never fought for the country, no one went to jail among their leaders, but today these people have come to teach us patriotic lessons.
Accusing the central government of freedom of expression and suppressing the freedom of the press, he said that those who are writing rights are being put in jail.
Kharge said that Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was also sent to jail in a wrong way. They are not admitted that a tribal held such position. Kharge accused the BJP government of acting contrary to the constitution of the country.
He said that we have to fight the rights to save the poor, Dalits, tribals, women, today. Baba Saheb Ambedkar gave everyone the right to equal. If we do not save their constitution, we will end forever, will become slaves again. The rich people want the poor to be crushed. The Congress President said that under the Congress’s Constitution Bachao Abhiyan, rallies, meetings and programs will be organized in all states, districts, blocks for the next 45 days.
