
The closing ceremony of the 15-day residential training camp organized by Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Jharkhand Province, at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Dhurwa, Ranchi, was a resounding success. Chitra Tai Joshi, Akhil Bharatiya Sah Karyavahika, delivered the main address, emphasizing the vital role of Bharat Mata as the embodiment of the nation’s life force, providing for all needs. She encouraged dedicating every aspect of life to the service of Bharat Mata.
The event honored the 300th birth anniversary of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar, recognizing her as an exemplary figure in Indian history for her service, righteousness, and just rule. Her efforts to restore important religious sites, such as Kashi Vishwanath, were highlighted as a key contribution to revitalizing the nation’s cultural heritage. The legacy of Ahilyabai’s work in promoting women’s safety, respect, and self-sufficiency was also underscored as an inspiration for today’s generation. Furthermore, Joshi paid tribute to Rani Durgavati’s sacrifice in defending her homeland, citing her life as a symbol of courage and patriotism, urging attendees to draw inspiration from her ideals.
Retired Director General of Police Nirmal Kaur, the chief guest, praised the discipline, enthusiasm, and spirit of service demonstrated by the Sevikas, noting the camps’ contribution to cultivating patriotic citizens. Over 2000 people attended the closing ceremony, representing educational institutions, social organizations, and various community groups.
The training camp saw the participation of 225 Sevikas from 20 districts of Jharkhand. The primary goal was to instill discipline, physical fitness, patriotism, and cultural values in young women. Daily activities included yoga, physical exercises, intellectual discussions, and community service. The residential program provided comprehensive training across the physical, mental, intellectual, and spiritual dimensions. The camp was guided by 14 instructors and 10 provincial-level officers, with senior leaders such as Sunita Haldekar, Chitra Tai Joshi, and Nita Ba providing valuable insights. Padma Devi, the field contact head, offered continuous support. Discussions and activities encompassed patriotism, civic responsibility, social cohesion, the use of indigenous products, and environmental conservation, under the guidance of chief instructor Manu Shri.
A significant event was the parade by the Sevikas in full uniform on June 6, which was warmly received by the public. The parade began at the Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir and concluded at the same venue, passing through key locations.
Attendees included Usha Singh (Provincial Director of Rashtra Sevika Samiti), Sharda Gupta (Provincial Karyavahika), Dr. Tripula Das (Provincial Sah Karyavahika), Nirmala Singh (Provincial Contact Head), Poonam Singh, Dr. Jigyas ओझा, Shalini Sachdev, Rita Singh, Suman Sinha, Ganita Jha, Kusum Lata Singh, Jayashree Kujur, Sudha Prajapati, and Aparna Singh.
Jamvanti Mishra (Provincial Intellectual Head) served as the class officer. Others present were Mridul Chaurasia (overall management head), Siddhanath Singh (member of the central village development dimension of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), provincial Sanghchalak Sachchidanand Agarwal and Sah Provincial Sanghchalak Ashok Srivastava, Vijay Ghosh, Gurusharan, Akhilesh Mishra, Ganesh Mishra, Asha Lakra, Aarti Kujur, Satyanarayan Kanth, Snigdh Ranjan, Sunil, Ranchi Department Karyavah Achal, representatives of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, and numerous others.
