
Ranchi witnessed the ceremonial launch of the 5-day Jharkhand IAS Officers Wives Association (JESOW A) Diwali Mela 2025 on Thursday, inaugurated by Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the Morahabadi Maidan. MLA Kalpana Soren was also in attendance. Chief Minister Soren lauded JESOW A for its persistent commitment to social good, marking its silver jubilee milestone. The annual Diwali Mela, known for its vibrant atmosphere, is being held with great fervor and joy at the historic Morahabadi ground.
He underscored the primary objective of the JESOW A Mela: to utilize all generated income for the betterment of the poor and underprivileged, alongside other community development projects. The organization’s impact in education and healthcare is highly valued. The inauguration ceremony also included the honoring of individuals for their outstanding social efforts and the opening of a community library.
Chief Minister Soren noted the unique position of JESOW A, distinguishing it from other organizations that host festive fairs. He applauded JESOW A’s consistent dedication to serving the less fortunate from its very beginning. He offered his best wishes to all JESOW A members and officials for their commendable social initiatives, expressing a strong desire for their beneficial work to continue reaching those in need. Heartfelt congratulations were extended for the successful commencement of the JESOW A Mela 2025.
Following the inauguration, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, MLA Kalpana Soren, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, and other dignitaries took a tour of the mela. MLA Kalpana Soren extended her best wishes to the JESOW A members for a successful Diwali celebration.
