A significant political backlash has erupted following Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s controversial ‘ox’ statement, with BJP Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu leading the charge. Sahu vehemently stated that the individual designated as an ‘ox’ by the Chief Minister is not just anyone, but a representative chosen by millions and a prominent tribal leader. He passionately defended the ox as representative of the village, the poor, and the farmer, highlighting its indispensable contribution to feeding a vast population. Sahu condemned the tendency of some to forget the ox’s value after leveraging its labor, succumbing to arrogance and uttering offensive words. He declared that the collective voice of the village, the poor, and the farmer is now unequivocally behind this ‘ox.’ The ‘ox,’ he warned, is now driven by righteous anger and public solidarity. The former Chief Minister, now subjected to this ‘ox’ insult, continues to be a cherished public figure with a long history of service. Sahu issued a stark warning that the public’s anger will translate into electoral consequences, and the Hemant administration must be prepared for the forceful repercussions, comparing it to the unyielding power of an ox. He detailed the public’s profound dissatisfaction stemming from alleged corruption, dishonesty, and exploitation, pointing to critical shortcomings in healthcare, education, and basic amenities. Sahu also alleged widespread illegal dealings involving sand, stone, and mineral resources. The state’s youth are reportedly demoralized, women feel increasingly vulnerable, and even schoolgirls are not safe. Sahu concluded by asserting that the public is resolved to restore the state from its current crisis.
