
A shocking case of gang rape involving a minor girl has occurred in Gumla district, Jharkhand. Three individuals are accused of abducting the girl from the Sadar police station area, committing gang rape, and subsequently abandoning her in a forest after issuing threats. The victim managed to return to her family, who then reported the crime to the police. Following a medical examination, the police filed a case under the POCSO Act and other applicable laws. Acting swiftly, a special team formed under the leadership of Sadar SDPO Suresh Prasad Yadav, and under the direction of the Gumla SP, arrested the three perpetrators: Anup Oraon, Pankaj Oraon, and Balram Mahto. The police also confiscated the scooter used by the suspects. The local villagers are expressing strong condemnation and demanding that the authorities impose the harshest penalties on the accused to deter such crimes in the future.
