A controversy has erupted at the Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi after BJP MLA Dr. Kushwaha Shashi Bhushan Mehta protested over being denied a room. The MLA stated that he had pre-booked two rooms, which he had also confirmed. However, upon arrival, he was informed that only one room was available, prompting his protest. The MLA sought information on the occupancy of other rooms and the presence of other Jharkhand officials but did not receive a clear answer. He then sat on the floor of the reception area and ate his breakfast in protest. Mehta has demanded that Chief Minister Hemant Soren take action to improve the management of the Jharkhand Bhawan. The new Jharkhand Bhawan, a modern facility built at a cost exceeding 100 crore, was completed in September 2024. It offers 50 guest rooms, VIP suites, and other amenities.
