Ranchi police have seized two crore rupees worth of counterfeit notes from a bus at the New Market bus stand, leading to the arrest of two individuals. The Sukhdevnagar police are handling the case.
Acting on the orders of DIG and SSP Chandan Sinha, a police team, led by DSP Prakash Soe, conducted the operation. Intelligence reports indicated that a large quantity of fake currency was being transported from Patna.
Following the tip-off, a team headed by DSP Prakash Soe raided the bus stand early Saturday morning. The counterfeit notes were found inside a box on the bus. Police are conducting further investigations based on the interrogation of the arrested suspects. A car has also been seized during the operation.
