
A tragic event in the Giridih district of Jharkhand saw a friendship shattered over a mere 50 rupees. Maksood Ansari is in custody, accused of murdering his friend, Anoul Ansari, following a dispute. Giridih’s SDPO, Jitvahan Oraon, announced the arrest of the suspect and provided details about the case. The SDPO stated that the incident took place on the night of August 31st near the Mundradih mosque in the Bengabad police station area, where Anoul Ansari was fatally stabbed by Maksood Ansari over a 50-rupee debt. After a case was registered at the Bengabad police station, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed by the SP. The SIT, headed by the Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer, used technical methods to locate and arrest Maksood Ansari from the Ashgandho jungle. The murder weapon was also recovered. The investigation is ongoing to determine if anyone else was involved. It was revealed that Anoul Ansari had borrowed ₹200 from his friend, Maksood Ansari. On the day of the murder, he returned ₹150. However, the remaining ₹50 led to an argument that quickly escalated into a fight and ultimately ended in tragedy.
Maksood Ansari repeatedly stabbed his friend, Anoul Ansari, causing critical injuries that resulted in his death. Following the murder, Maksood Ansari went into hiding. The SIT team from the Giridih police apprehended him. The act of a friend murdering a friend has become a subject of widespread discussion in the city. In a related case, an elderly couple, Navgopal Saha and his wife Bibhu Saha, residents of Chorkatta village in the Muffasil police station area of Dumka district, were brutally murdered in their home on August 19th. Their son-in-law, Subal Saha, was arrested in connection with the case, with the motive being his failure to provide around ₹2 lakh.
