Today’s forecast is clear, with a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius. Temperatures could remain above 40 degrees Celsius through June 14, meaning Delhi residents face a week of heat.
**UP Grapples with Heat**
Uttar Pradesh is experiencing severe heat. The state is seeing strong sunshine during the day, contributing to the heat. The weather department forecasts no rain until June 11. Heatwaves are expected in Bundelkhand, Vindhya, and adjacent areas from June 9-11. Eastern Uttar Pradesh may see easterly winds from June 11, potentially leading to rain.
**Bihar and Jharkhand Weather**
Most districts of Bihar will have dry weather today. Patna will see a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius. The weather department has warned of rain starting June 10. Humid heat is expected until then. Maximum and minimum temperatures could rise by up to four degrees. Ranchi and other districts in Jharkhand may experience light rain and thunderstorms this evening.
**Heatwave Alert in Certain Regions, Rainfall in Northeast India**
Heatwaves are likely in western Rajasthan (June 8-11), Punjab and Haryana (June 9-11), and northern Madhya Pradesh (June 9 and 10). South India and the northeastern states could see heavy rain starting June 10. The Northeast is likely to receive light to moderate rainfall over the next 7 days.
**Himalayan Weather**
Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are likely to experience intense heat. Strong sunshine is causing the heat to be felt in the hills of Uttarakhand. Mountain weather conditions may change quickly. Rain is possible in Himachal Pradesh from June 12-13.
