The push to restore the 27% OBC reservation in Jharkhand gained significant momentum as thousands participated in a large-scale protest in Ranchi. Spearheaded by the Jharkhand Kushwaha Mahasabha, the demonstration at Lok Bhawan, adjacent to the Raj Bhavan, was a powerful display of solidarity. Community members from Barkagaon and Keredari, under the guidance of Sohanlal Mehta, regional president of the Kushwaha Samaj, joined the cause.
Chants and slogans filled the air as the protestors marched, making their demands for increased reservation heard loud and clear. The day began with a significant gathering at Mangal Bazaar Nyantand, where the community mobilized before proceeding to the state capital. This movement highlights the urgency felt by the OBC population for increased representation and opportunities.
