
The halls of Sacred Heart School buzzed with democratic fervor as it successfully organized the third Youth Parliament for students in grades 5 to 7. This unique event aimed to equip young participants with vital democratic values, leadership acumen, and strong oratory and reasoning skills.
The primary guest for the day was renowned educationist Ajay Agarwal. The session was expertly steered by Speaker Ambika Gulyani and Principal Secretary Humaira Ali. Arnav Raj took on the mantle of Prime Minister, supported by a council of ministers. This included Pratyusha Sharma (Roads and Transport), Umme Sidra (Home), Mayank Barnwal (Health), Sushmita Ranjan (Railways), Aham Barnwal (External Affairs), Shreyansh Saha (Defense), Trisha Kashyap (Education), Aparajita Singh (Environment), and Zara Arman (Agriculture).
The government benches were occupied by MPs Shweta Kumari and Srishti Priya. The opposition was robustly presented by Leader of Opposition Gaurav Ranjan and his parliamentary colleagues, including Divyanshu Bharti, Vicky Kumar, Adhya Sharma, Pragya Bharti, Rashmi Ranjan, Ashvi Singh, Aradhya Shri, Anchal Kumari, Soumya Bhadani, and Bushra Arif. Sangam Kumari represented the President. Avantika, Harshika Sinha, Kranti Kumar, Annu Kumari, and Ansh Krishna Pandit formed the media team, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
Awardees included Umme Sidra (Best Speaker – Treasury), Bushra Arif (Best Speaker – Opposition), Pratyusha Sharma (Best Bill), and Gaurav Ranjan (Special Mention). Chief Guest Ajay Agarwal commended the students’ advanced debating abilities, confidence, and readiness, foreseeing a bright future for them. Principal Pramod Sharma extended a warm welcome and expressed gratitude, underscoring the Youth Parliament’s role in developing responsible citizens and fostering holistic growth.
