Fifteen migrant workers from Jharkhand are currently stranded in Dubai, facing dire circumstances due to unpaid wages and are seeking urgent assistance. The workers, who are from Giridih, Hazaribagh, and Dhanbad districts, were employed by Masai Contracting LLC. In a video message, the workers have expressed their distress, stating they haven’t received their salaries for the past three months. They are facing severe difficulties in securing food and other necessities. They have appealed to both the central and state governments for help in returning to their home state. Sikandar Ali, a social worker dedicated to supporting migrant laborers, has also requested government intervention to ensure the safe return of these workers. This situation underscores the vulnerability of migrant workers who often face exploitation.
