A CID raid in the Namkum area of Ranchi has exposed a fraudulent operation targeting job seekers. The raid, conducted on Saturday, focused on two sites: Pushpanjali Place and Aryavart Associate’s office. The police action followed reports of individuals being defrauded under the pretense of employment. During the raid, 15 individuals undergoing training at Pushpanjali Place, along with a computer operator and another person, were taken into custody for questioning at Namkum police station. A range of items, including laptops, printers, and Ayurvedic products, were seized. Senior police officials were involved in the operation. Officials are currently investigating the details of the scam, which reportedly involved charging fees for skill-based programs. The job seekers were lured with attractive offers, but were ultimately made to market Ayurvedic products. Those failing to meet sales targets were allegedly terminated. The operation was launched based on a complaint from a former trainee who did not receive the promised job after completing the training. The scam is believed to have affected a large number of people. A man from Uttar Pradesh said that attractive advertisements for jobs lured them and hundreds of unemployed people from different states are taking training in that institute. The institute was taking 25,000 to 30,000 from the trainees. The organization was also providing accommodation and food and after the training, the trainees were sent for marketing the Ayurvedic products and in this way, they were being cheated.
