A comprehensive social audit of central government pension schemes has commenced in Ranishwar block, Dumka. Presided over by Block Development Officer Rajesh Kumar Sinha, the initiative aims to verify the authenticity of pension beneficiaries and streamline the distribution process. The district’s social audit team, consisting of Ramjeevan Aadi and Jeevan Nandi, is spearheading the audit, which will span from December 20, 2025, to December 30, 2025. Mr. Sinha stressed the importance of accurate beneficiary data and instructed all Anganwadi workers to efficiently distribute identification slips to every recipient within their jurisdiction. This critical step will help in flagging individuals who may be ineligible for the scheme. The collected information will be forwarded to the Panchayat Secretaries to prepare a consolidated report for the audit team. The social audit team detailed the verification requirements: beneficiaries are requested to present their Aadhar card, voter ID, and mobile number at their respective Panchayat Bhawans on the scheduled audit dates. Special arrangements will be made for individuals who cannot attend in person, offering verification through VDO calls or house visits. The successful launch of this audit was facilitated by the active participation of various community stakeholders, including Mukhiyas, Gram Pradhans, Panchayat Secretaries, volunteers, Gram Rozgar Sevaks, and Anganwadi workers, all committed to enhancing program effectiveness.
