A would-be thief’s plan to steal from a temple in Ranchi, Jharkhand, was foiled when he fell asleep inside the temple after taking drugs and sleeping pills. The thief broke into the Maa Kali and Sheetala Temple, stole money and jewelry, but succumbed to the effects of the drugs before he could escape. He was found sleeping in front of the idol by villagers the next morning, leading to his arrest by the police.
