Following the crash, an atmosphere of panic ensued. Bystanders quickly came to the aid of the injured, ferrying them to the Gomia Community Health Center. Tragically, two of the young men were declared dead before they could receive comprehensive medical care. Local administrative officials, the BDO and CO of Gomia, arrived at the scene and coordinated the transfer of the most seriously injured to Bokaro General Hospital. The accident happened when Ravi Prasad, accompanied by a companion, was traveling back towards Lalpania. Simultaneously, Manshu Mahli, also heading towards Lalpania on his motorcycle with a young child as a passenger, met with the fatal collision.
