A heinous crime unfolded in Gumla, Jharkhand, where a businessman was brutally murdered by three criminals using a sword and iron rods. The Gumla police acted quickly, arresting all three suspects within a day of the incident. The victim, Vinod Agarwal, was attacked on Sisai Road in the Loyola Nagar area. The police seized the murder weapons, including a sword and iron rod, as well as a motorcycle from the arrested individuals: Anchal Bium Tirkey (Chikku), Juliman Minj, and Sameer Toppo. The police investigation revealed that the murder was motivated by a personal vendetta. Chikku confessed that he and his accomplices planned the murder due to an ongoing dispute. Agarwal had accused Chikku’s brother of theft two years prior, and the taunts from Agarwal about being ‘thieves’ fueled the plot. The suspects reportedly consumed alcohol and drugs before executing the murder on July 6th while the victim was returning from a shop.
