Leading up to the Ghatsila Assembly by-election, the East Singhbhum district administration has put in place temporary traffic restrictions, specifically targeting heavy vehicle movement. This measure, effective November 10th and 11th, is designed to facilitate the secure distribution of election materials and maintain smooth traffic flow throughout the designated areas.
The issued order clearly states that during the periods of 4:30 AM to 11:30 AM on November 10th and 4:30 PM to 11:30 PM on November 11th, all heavy vehicles will face a complete prohibition on entering or exiting the city. This controlled environment is essential for the success of the electoral operations.
Officials from the Traffic DSP’s office explained that the ban is crucial for ensuring that polling supplies reach their destinations without any delays or security concerns. Enhanced police presence will be deployed to manage potential bottlenecks and ensure public safety during this sensitive period.
All residents are kindly asked to respect these traffic advisories and plan their journeys accordingly, avoiding the use of heavy vehicles. Authorities have cautioned that violations of these directives will be met with strict enforcement actions. The traffic control room is also on standby, ready to manage any critical situations that might arise and ensure the election process continues unhindered.
