Scholar B.Ed. College in Banhatti, Giridih, recently celebrated a dual event: the orientation of its new B.Ed. trainees for the 2025-27 academic session and a farewell for the graduating D.El.Ed. students from the 2023-25 batch. The ceremony was distinguished by the presence of key guests, including College Director Pramod Kumar and Sardav Joravar Singh Saluja. Principal Dr. Shalini Khovala and D.El.Ed. program head Dr. Hardeep Kaur formally initiated the proceedings by lighting a lamp after offering floral greetings.
Principal Dr. Shalini Khovala engaged the new B.Ed. students, providing essential details about college policies and the academic program. She inspired them with a profound quote from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam: ‘Dreams are not what you see while sleeping; they are the aspirations that prevent you from sleeping.’ Dr. Khovala articulated the college’s mission, describing it as a hub for developing character and leadership to guide future generations.
Pramod Kumar, addressing the gathering, underscored the significant influence of teachers on societal progress. He encouraged the students to aspire to greatness, citing examples of influential educators and subject matter experts. Kumar motivated them to aim beyond teaching roles, encouraging them to become successful entrepreneurs, builders of institutions, and leaders in the field of education.
Dr. Hardeep Kaur offered her guidance and best wishes to the departing D.El.Ed. trainees. The cultural segment of the event featured diverse performances by the students, adding a lively and engaging dimension to the ceremony.
New B.Ed. trainees received their course essentials, including diaries, pens, and syllabi. The D.El.Ed. graduating class saw its top performers recognized for their excellence. Monali Gupta received special commendation as District Topper and Student of the Session. Several other students were honored for their punctuality, obedience, and consistent participation throughout their program.
Dr. Santosh Kumar Choudhary played a crucial role in organizing the event, with trainees Tasneen Saba and Shubham Kumar effectively anchoring the program. The ceremony was attended by the college’s teaching staff, administrative personnel, and the entire student community.
