
During a cancer summit in Ranchi, Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar emphasized that battling cancer goes beyond medical solutions, requiring compassion and a collective approach. He explained that the disease significantly impacts a patient’s physical health and the mental, social, and emotional stability of their family. Consequently, empathy, faith, and care are essential, along with medical treatments. The Governor highlighted the difficulties in providing healthcare, particularly in rural areas. He lauded the ‘Ayushman Bharat’ initiative as a positive step by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and emphasized the collaborative effort necessary for its success, involving doctors, hospitals, state governments, and society. He encouraged doctors to embody service and compassion, bringing hope to cancer patients’ lives. The Governor expressed confidence that the summit would help improve cancer treatment and increase awareness in Jharkhand. He urged everyone to support cancer patients, emphasizing the importance of understanding their suffering and providing the necessary assistance.
