
Final arrangements are being made for the Dashakarma ceremony of Shibu Soren, the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and known as Dishom Guru. The Dashakarma will be performed on August 15th, following Santhali traditions, with the Sanskar Bhoj scheduled for August 16th. On Thursday, Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his family observed the customary rituals to pray for the peace of the deceased. Senior family member Deepmani Soren provided guidance on the Shraddha program.
The Sanskar Bhoj is anticipated to be attended by a number of distinguished guests from across the state and the nation. The administrative preparations for the event are nearing completion. Parking facilities have been designated at locations like Lukaiyatand. Lukaiyatand features three operational helipads, with a fourth constructed near the ancestral home. Security will be provided by a team of 10 IPS officers, 60 DSPs, 65 inspectors, and over 2500 police officers. The district administration will be on high alert to ensure law and order. Teams of police, administrative staff and volunteers will actively manage traffic, emergency services and crowd control around the clock.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren took a personal interest in the preparations for the Shraddha Karma of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren. He toured the venue by e-rickshaw, closely inspecting the arrangements in each pandal. The Chief Minister instructed the officials to ensure adequate safety, cleanliness, drinking water, parking, tents, seating, and toilet facilities for the attendees. He also emphasized the need for smooth traffic management. The Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, senior officials of the district administration, officers from various departments, and people from Nemra village were present during the inspection.
