Residents of Ranchi and most districts are grappling with heightened humidity, leading to discomfort. The humidity on Saturday was notably high in Ranchi compared to other cities. The humidity reached 90% in Ranchi on Saturday, a slight decrease from 92% on Friday. Other cities recorded the following humidity levels: Jamshedpur 86%, Daltonganj 68%, Bokaro 73%, and Chaibasa 80%. The Meteorological Department anticipates light rain with thunder across different regions of the state until June 18. A yellow alert has been issued from June 15 to 17, warning of thunderstorms and lightning in specific areas. Heavy rainfall is expected in parts of the southern, western, and central regions on June 17. In the past 24 hours, Manoharpur in West Singhbhum received the highest rainfall, measuring 6.2 mm. Daltonganj recorded the highest maximum temperature at 40 degrees Celsius, while Namkum, Ranchi, recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 21.7 degrees Celsius. On Saturday, Ranchi’s maximum temperature was 35 degrees, Jamshedpur’s 36.5, Daltonganj’s 40.2, Bokaro’s 38.1, and Chaibasa’s 37.4 degrees Celsius.
