Aditya Sahu, a prominent BJP leader and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament, has launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Hemant Soren for his recent derogatory statement referring to someone as an “ox.” Sahu retorted that the “ox” the Chief Minister mentioned is a democratically elected representative of millions and a leading figure within the tribal community. He emphasized the symbolic importance of the ox, representing the backbone of rural life, poverty alleviation, and the agricultural sector that feeds the nation. Sahu criticized the tendency of some to belittle the ox’s contribution once its purpose is served, succumbing to inflated egos. He proclaimed that the “ox” now has the unwavering support of the village, the poor, and the farmer, who are united in their righteous anger. The individual in question, Sahu reminded, is not only a former Chief Minister but also a consistently popular choice of the people. The BJP MP issued a clear warning: the public will not tolerate such insults and will hold the Hemant government accountable, comparing the impending backlash to the powerful charge of an ox’s horns. He also cited widespread public discontent over alleged corruption, dilapidated public services in health and education, unchecked exploitation of natural resources, and a disturbing lack of safety for women and children across the state.
