The Jharkhand High Court has taken decisive action to address noise pollution and visual clutter caused by vehicle modifications. The court has banned the use of pressure horns and multi-tone horns, as well as flag rods on vehicles. The order also includes the removal of extra lights. The court’s directive aims to ensure compliance with noise pollution regulations and the Central Motor Vehicle Rules. The court has also prohibited the use of loudspeakers from 10 pm to 6 am without explicit permission. The court has directed the Director General of Police and the Member Secretary of the Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board to file affidavits confirming adherence to the court’s instructions.
