Tragedy struck in Khunti, Jharkhand, when two friends on a motorcycle were attacked, leading to the death of one. The assault, which occurred late Friday night, involved the use of chili powder and a sharp weapon. Police immediately responded to the scene after receiving information from the local community. The body of the deceased has been sent for a post-mortem, and an investigation is underway.
The victims were traveling from the Saiko weekly market towards Khatanga village when the attack took place near Kocharidih. The attackers threw chili powder into the eyes of the riders, causing them to crash. Subsequently, the assailants, who arrived on two motorcycles, attacked Choyta Sarukad, causing fatal injuries. Singa Munda was severely injured.
The perpetrators fled the scene. Villagers found the victims and transported them to a nearby hospital, where Choyta Sarukad was declared dead. The police are actively pursuing the suspects and have begun their investigation based on the injured individual’s account.
