A major plot orchestrated by CPI (Maoist) operatives in Jharkhand was disrupted today. During a search operation, security forces discovered and seized 18 IED bombs, each weighing approximately three kilograms. The bombs were found in a forested area and were subsequently destroyed by a bomb disposal unit.
The operation took place near the border of West Singhbhum and Khunti districts, near Kochang under Arki police station. The search was initiated based on intelligence received about the presence of explosives planted by the banned CPI (Maoist) to target security personnel. The operation involved the collaboration of Chaibasa Police, Khunti Police, Jharkhand Jaguar, and CRPF. The authorities are actively pursuing top Maoist leaders, including Misir Besra, Anmol, and others, who are believed to be actively involved in subversive activities within the Saranda/Kolhan region.
